Welcome To Constable Sanderson: Safer Schools Officer

As part of the Greater Merseyside Safer Schools Project, Constable Lesley Sanderson has been appointed as Police Officer supporting Rainford High and De la Salle. She will spend 50% of each week in each school.

Constable Sanderson will be part of the Pastoral Team and have a base in the Inclusion Unit.  Her support will include:

  • Working with individual students on behaviour modification
  • Patrolling/supervising the site, particularly before and after school, break and lunchtimes
  • Taking part in the PHSE programme and cross-curricular projects, in particular into areas covering drug and alcohol awareness, crime and safety, citizenship and promotingpositive attitudes and behaviour.
  • Taking part in out of school hours activities such as DofE
  • Providing parental support and guidance

I am certain that Constable Sanderson will be a very valuable addition to our staff.

Anti-bullying Week

As this week is anti-bullying week I would just like to inform parents of the following website provided by the DCSF...

www.besomeonetotell.org.uk.

The Parentline Plus website offers support to parents concerned about bullying in their child's life, both outside and within school and to help parents support their child build healthy friendships and be safe at every stage of their life.
