Samaritans Purse Appeal 2008
This year we collected 197 shoe boxes for the Samaritans Purse shoe box appeal. Along with the shoe boxes money was contributed for transport costs, £492.50 in total. Each box was checked for glass items, and they were all put into a van on Friday 21st November and taken to the docks at Liverpool to a warehouse where they would be put with others.
After being packed into a lorry the long journey begins to go by road to Romania. These boxes will certainly make a lot of children happy this year and I am so glad that the staff and students in Rainford High have helped.
