Following the recent death of George Faulkner at Windle Island on 10th October his family have set up the above campaign.
They hope this campaign will raise awareness of the dangers at Windle Island and their aim is to get approval for Controlled Pedestrian Crossings.
The campaign has the backing of local MP Dave Watts and an initial meeting with St Helens Council has already taken place.

Sad News
The staff and students at Rainford High Technology College were very saddened to hear of the death of George Faulkner on Friday evening. George had been returning home from a birthday party when he was fatally injured in a road traffic accident on the Windle Island, East Lancashire Road.
George was a student at Rainford High between 2002 and 2007. His brother, Bob, is in Year 11, as is his girlfriend Sam.
We held a special Year 11 Assembly to celebrate George’s life on Monday afternoon which was attended by the Reverend Stephen Gough and both George’s and Sam’s parents.
George’s funeral service will be held at Rainford Parish Church followed by committal at the Crematorium. Donations to the Road Safety Charity ‘Brake’
Our thoughts are with his family.
